General Maintenance
Natural fibre rugs are easy to take care of. With a standard household vacuum or a broom, these plant based rugs can be regularly cleaned, prolonging the life of your rug.
Spot and Stain Cleaning
Immediately taking care of a stain or spill is the most important thing. Blot, do not rub, the affected area with a clean, undyed cloth or a paper towel. If there are solids in the wet stain, scrape these up gently with a spoon or a spatula.
If the solids or the stain is dry, these can be removed with the aid of a vacuum cleaner or gentle brush.
Should you have an Ocean Rugs Underlay, we recommend separating it from your rug immediately so the stain is not absorbed through. However, in the event of your underlay staining please be assured this is washable, just follow our instructions detailed with the product and our underlay entry here.
