The Bespoke Process

At Ocean Rugs we believe in creating special rugs for our customers to enjoy for many years to come. We strive to make the process as easy and enjoyable as possible whilst taking the pressure away for you.

First, the Design

In this first stage of the process we will discuss your ideas and figure out exactly what you are looking to design. We will consider materials, colours, design and budget.

Drawing Up Your Rug

The information from our briefing will be used to do sketches or find examples based on your wishes. Since your commission is a unique one, we will need to use our creativity at this stage to envision what the final product will look like. At this stage we recommend making any changes or adjustments to your design.

The Manufacturing Process

Once design has been approved this is sent to our master craftsmen to start production. We supervise the entire process and will have regular updates for you at this stage. The process may take between 26 to 52 weeks to complete depending on the size and intricacy of your chosen design.

Finally, the Delivery

We know that with time, our handmade rugs become more beautiful and more valuable. We will arrange for your rug to be shipped and delivered, depending on the size of your piece, we also offer a complimentary installation service.
